Beschreibung (auf Englisch)	STEER (Sustainable Transport and Environment for the East of England Region) was formed as a voluntary network of regional and local groups in 1996 to promote the case for environmentally sustainable transport and related policies and programmes in the east of England. We focus on high level regional strategies notably the Regional Spatial Strategy which includes an integrated transport strategy. Steer has participated in a number of government-led transport studies and steering groups and also in the RSS Examination in Public. We have recently accepted a community stakeholder place on the East of England Regional Assembly.
