The Virage-énergie Nord-Pas de Calais scenario "Energy for the future in Nord-Pas de Calais" offers a realistic and sustainable way to achieve this goal by 2050. This scenario, aiming at a nuclear-free reduction by 75% of regionally-emitted greenhouse gas, is the outcome of more than a year's work and dialogue with regional players. The only regional exercise of this kind, based on figures and supported arguments, it proposes the undertaking of many policies for the sake of our region's energy future. Transports, renewables, industry, building, land use and city planning: a broad spectrum of themes concerning our day-to-day life is addressed. All the people who care and interested in finding regional solutions, may they be policy makers, stakeholders, association representatives or citizens, will find in this study food for thought and action. A real energiser!
